Red Light Moves Left, Right & Then Straight.

Location of Sighting: Carolina Beach, North Carolina
Date of Sighting: August 17, 2016
Time of Sighting: 8:30 PM EDT

Description: Yes. Myself and others have seen several at Carolina Beach, usually over the water. I have recently seen some over the State Park on Carolina Beach. Case in point: tonight one red one moved very slowly to the left over tree line in direction of ocean, then stopped, moved right very quickly, then just as quickly went left again. It then continued straight toward the ocean, getting dim and then disappeared. At the same time in the opposite direction, a white light of the same size that I had mistaken for a low lying star, was over the tree tops in the direction of the state park. It continued to go down below the tree line. It was heading away and deeper over the state park. I was walking my dog at about 8:30 PM in our neighborhood. It was so weird! To those that say it was a plane, no. I have lived in Wilmington (and now Carolina Beach) most of my life and having lived in the flight path of ILM airport for years prior, I can tell very quickly what is a plane, satellite, and what is not.

I have lived on the island for almost 5 years and every year, usually around the fall and sometimes in the summer myself and others have seen large white lights that are stationary over the state park (my neighborhood is right near the bridge and my house faces the direction of the state park) sitting very low not far above the trees (riverside). They will move suddenly and away from the direction of the bridge. I have also witnessed large red low lying lights over the ocean near the level of the tree tops from my neighborhood. I know the flight paths of the planes through here and they are way up in the air not close to the trees. Every year this happens.
