Location of Sighting: Hudson Falls, New York
Date of Sighting: August 15, 2018
Time of Sighting: 8:15 PM EDT
Description: I was sitting on my upstairs porch, when I noted what I initially assumed was a planet or a large star in the southern sky. It appeared to be a reddish-colored star and then it slowly moved eastward. It was followed by another and then another. This lasted a couple of minutes, until they vanished behind cloud cover. It was too late for it to be a hot air balloon, and too slow to be a meteor. Likewise it was not candles attached to balloons, or fireworks or flares from a flare gun. I am stumped.
