Description: My ring door bell caught this object and then later it came back from where it originally moved. I hope I am sending this the right way. My name is Bill. I live in Rotonda West Florida. The video was taken at 1:37 AM on April 10, 2021.

Thanks and let me know your thoughts. You have to watch it all to see it come back again.

Note: It is difficult to say what the object in the video is. It could be a spider web, but this is speculation.

One will find with study that most of these are spider webbing that is reflecting light. It is usually close enough to the camera lens to be slightly out of focus, so it is harder to see the webbing line yet the reflecting light is still visible. (Looking closely at these videos you eventually find that the light/lights stretch a little into two points on opposite sides as they move. They will also exhibit a slight “wiggle” as they move, most likely pulled by the spider.)

Yes, spiders can produce some “odd effects” on security cameras. I regularly have to remove spider webs from my security cameras lens covers.
