Description: A woman, her son and husband saw 3 orange lights moving north in the night sky. The woman was bringing in her horses and first noticed the lights. She thought that they were stars, but saw that they were moving northward one after the other. The lights would stop, hover and then move again. She went into her house and asked her husband and son to come outside and view the lights. She attempted to take a video, but the lights did not show up. Bright flashes of blue and red light emanated from the lights. The lights were visible for about 5 minutes before vanishing. Skies were clear at the time of the sighting. The lights were silent.
Note: A check of the winds aloft showed that winds were mostly from the west-southwest. If the objects were flotation devices (e.g. balloons) they would not have been moving north. Also the lights were seen to stop and also projected red-blue flashes. These facts suggest that the objects were quite likely not balloons.

I am not sure if these are the same lights I saw last night 10/20/2016, but I recorded something similar. You can’t really see it in my recording. If you pay attention close enough you can see the flashing lights in a triangular formation as it flew from the east side to the north. The night was silent and I don’t think it was airplanes passing by? They were in a perfect formation. I was wondering what this was? I have been searching online to see if there are similar reports, but I can’t find anything. The sighting of this was in California.
