Location of Sighting: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Date of Sighting: September 9, 2016
Time of Sighting: 7 to 7:30 PM MST
Description: I am still hoping to learn what I saw on Friday, September the 9th, 2016 between approximately 7:00 and 7:30 PM at Lomas and Tennessee NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was nearing sunset, and to the west was a florescent pink glow like a vapor trail shaped something like a mini sausage. Four or five of us stood watching this spectacle. What is odd is that it didn’t move or fade in easily five minutes. We ruled out hot air balloon and vapor trail. On my ten-minute drive home I first lost it when the trees blocked my view and then it vanished altogether. I went online to see if there had been any weather balloons flying over Albuquerque: Nothing. I did report this unusual sighting and while I have no camera phone, the following morning I rendered the object as well as I could (I’m an artist) and sent it off to a reputable UFO reporter. Are there any other sightings of bright pink UFO’s out there? I am open to the possibility that the bright light of a sunset was reflecting off of this object, but I have NEVER seen anything glow like this, sunset or no sunset.
Note: The witness commented that her sighting was similar to a photo of a bright object surrounded by a pink halo in South Boston, MA on October 17, 2016.
A check of weather for Albuquerque showed that skies were clear at the time of sighting. Weather observations are automated and sometimes high clouds are not recorded. Also sun reflections from possible aircraft contrails could account for the sighting, but this is a guess?Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
