Semi-Transparent Boomerang Shaped Object Glides Across Sky.

Location of Sighting: Kansas City, Kansas
Date of Sighting: December 8, 2016
Time of Sighting: 7 PM CDT

Description: Hello, I am reaching out to you because everything you described was exactly what I saw about an hour ago and I have been searching the web like crazy looking for an explanation. It was a boomerang shaped object gliding across the sky that was semi-transparent (but had a faint outline with stars being able to be seen through it). This was in America, Kansas City, KS. I saw it at around 7 PM.

Note: The witness was comparing his sighting to the sighting of a translucent boomerang shaped UFO in Australia on May 5, 1997.

Myself and a handful of family members saw a similar object in Portugal a couple of years ago.

My thanks to this “Show-Me-State” witness for this report! You have been “shown” just such a sighting that was reported at least once by Professor Harley Rutledge of the University of Missouri when he and some other alumni did their own field study in Missouri in the mid-1970’s. I distinctly recall reading their study and the sightings thereof, one of which was one just object that they sighted, and drew a descriptive picture of it (a night sighting). I had never heard of any such object as a “semi-transparent chevron shaped object” and Professor Rutledge made a point of saying that he and those present could see some of the brighter stars as through the thickness of the overhead object. I actually thought that what he and those with him probably saw was an old experimental aircraft the Air Force had that had a canopy it’s nose that they surely were seeing the stars through, but later I learned that not only had the Professor said that he could see some stars through the object’s body, but also that there were other people reporting this same characteristic when viewing some of these boomerang or triangular objects, although this isn’t always the case. My hat’s off to Professor Rutledge AND his fellow Missourian for their outstanding reports, and Merry Christmas to you Professor Puckett!

Joel: Merry Christmas to you. Yes, I have read portions of the book of professor Rutledge’s UFO studies. Very credible!
