Description: I was outside at about 3:30 AM having a cigarette and noticed a faint patch of light in the sky off to the east. It was traveling more or less east to “slightly northwest”. I estimate it passed by at about a 60 degree elevation, altitude a few hundred feet and size maybe about 75 by 50 feet, with a vaguely triangular shape. The speed was around that of those single engine private planes. Estimates and description are made difficult by the tree line eventually being in the way and the briefness of the sighting. At it’s closest it was visible through a break in the tree line for only a second or two. The intensity of the light was faint, the shade similar to that of a sodium vapor street light, with possibly three reddish round areas, one at the front and the other two at rear of the “triangle”. Their intensity was as faint as the “body”. There were of course no strobes or beacons visible, and it didn’t make a sound. The sky was cloudless, crystal clear and the temperature was in the 50’s.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
