My wife and I were on the south side of Hall Road in Clinton Township when she said “Hey, look at the UFO over the Harbours”! I looked up and watched the red and yellowish colored lights slowly moving East to West at a very slow speed and sometimes hovering. I spent 20 years in the Army and have been around aircraft more than half that time and that was unlike any aircraft I have ever seen! It made no sound, it moved slower than a plane and the lights changed from one to the other about every 2 seconds. Aircraft landing lights are on all the time. Their flashing red lights are on the wings and underbelly flash on and off. This object flashed red to yellowish-white with no darkness in between. I watched the lights for a good 5 minutes before they made a 90 degree left turn to the South and disappeared straight up through the cloud cover. It didn’t appear anywhere else and was gone!
Note: A check of weather conditions showed that skies were overcast with cloud bases at 4,100 feet.
