Several Star-Like Objects Dance, Wink On & Off.

Location of Sighting: Medford, Oregon
Date of Sighting: June 2, 2019
Time of Sighting: Midnight PDT

Description: Doug’s report could be my report from last night (June 2, 2019) from about midnight until four in the morning.

I am in Medford, Oregon.  It started (for me) around midnight when I went out for a last cigarette before bed. I was sitting on my porch and saw what I thought was a falling star, but it stopped then shot off to the left.  It got my attention, made the hairs stand up if you know what I mean. I watched this object and then another that at times appeared to chase it, and sometimes three, and even four at one time.  They would dance and get brighter, then dimmer, wink on and wink out entirely, they looped, they did right angle turns, they wobbled, sometimes slower and sometimes streaked by at unimaginable speeds.  Sometimes they looked choreographed as in a chase and other times just random zigszags independent of each other.

I was in the air force in the 70’s and two things I am pretty sure of: These were not manned nor could humans survive that kind of maneuvering, at least not without complete abnegation of G forces.  I tried to get it on my iPhone, but the longest sequence showed a few stars that were stationary, but only one very quick orangish streak. There were also a few bugs that flew past the lens that made streaks.  They are sort of obvious though.  I think they were just moving too fast for the camera to capture.  They were not bright enough.

It was really hard to tell their actual distance, elevations.  The freeway is about two blocks distant and they seemed to be over that as eastern boundary which would make them probably not much larger than a cantaloupe, but they might well have been miles away and so much larger, but they made absolutely no sound of any kind.  Had there been clouds I would have maybe rationalized them as some sort of laser pointers being projected onto the sky by people, but the sky was clear.  The area I could see them in was small too, there was a two story building with some taller trees both left of the house and right of it, so the squarish region of sky this was going on in was limited by that.  Had I been in open country I might have seen them doing a lot more.

Makes me wonder about possibly piezoelectric phenomenon when odd lights dancing about are reported prior to major eruptions and earthquakes.  There is a volcano not ten miles away here in the county, and of course this is part of the Cascade volcanic mountain chain, so earthquakes can’t be discounted, though they are far more common over on the coast.

I will bookmark this page and look again tonight, I will report back and try to get better footage if I see anything.
