STRANGE LIGHTS HOVER OVER PUGET SOUND.
Description: We were walking to our car parked down Borough Road by Garfield Park. It was cloudy but dry, and I noticed 3 white lights, hovering low by the tree line toward Commencement Bay. I thought it was an airplane, but it was odd that they were too close together. I then noticed they turned blue and red. There were more coming into view and we realized there were 9 of them, hovering silently, but in a group and bright white. I got my phone and have pictures. I will text them to your cell number. They began to spread out, most of them going upward to the clouds while some moved sideways. Then they were gone. We have no idea what they were. The final shots are the ones with my husband watching. I googled white hovering lights, strange lights and found this website.
Additional Comments From Witness: Great, thanks. I tried to call the Tacoma Tribune to see if anyone else saw anything and also the KCPQ Fox affiliate, but no word back. I am also checking with the city to see if anyone had Chinese lanterns, but I looked at photos online and these that we saw were too mechanical like. We also wondered if it might be military drones since JBLM is further south, but photos online don’t seem the same. These were very odd. I was surprised my galaxy S5 was able to get these shots, but it still didn’t capture the brightness and feel of it.
Note: One of several photos are posted above of lights that were hovering over Commencement Bay (see map) in Tacoma, WA. The lights could be Chinese Lanterns.
