Location of Sighting: Kona, Hawaii
Date of Sighting: December 8, 2019
Time of Sighting: 8:30 PM Local Time
Description: We saw a larger ‘star’ west of Kona, HI at about 8:30 PM. It looked like it was flashing red and maybe green too. It was low on the horizon over the ocean. It seemed steady for the first 10 minutes we noticed it. We looked through high quality, binoculars and it was definitely flashing white and red. Then it started moving and quickly dropped below the horizon.
Last year (2018) I was looking at the night sky, which was completely clear with no clouds. I saw what I thought was a shooting star, but then it suddenly stopped in place and stayed still for about 5 to 10 minutes. Then all of a sudden it flew really fast again back the way it came from. Also I was not under the influence of any alcohol or drugs at that time.
