Location of Sighting: Glendale, Wisconsin
Date of Sighting: December 18, 2016
Time of Sighting: 7 PM CST
Description: Just after 7 PM I noticed a red object in the east-northeast sky. I have seen orange colored stars like Antares, but this object was a brighter red color. At first I thought I might be seeing Castor or Pollux, the two stars in the constellation of Gemini. About 8 PM Gemini had moved higher in the sky. The steady red object was still almost in the same position. Now it is 9:20 PM and the original object seems to have a slightly smaller ‘friend’ just to the right of the main object. There is definite movement from the smaller object also a steady red color.
Lake Michigan is 3 miles east of where I live. I have seen stars seem to move because of inversion from the lake, but not like what I’m seeing now. I also suspected it might be aircraft lights. But planes move and lights flash on and off.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
