Description: Sorry I wasn’t able get camera out fast enough to get pictures. My wife and I witnessed 8 to 10 different colored flashes that lit up the sky at 1:33 AM in Northeast Portland, Oregon on October 7, 2016. I am looking forward hearing any information that you find in this or even similar statements.
New Information Sent by Witness: Yes I live less than 2 miles south of Portland Airport when I had seen flashes that lasted maybe 12 seconds. There were two different flashes burst each having about anywhere from 5 to9 different colors. There was a faint machine sound, but I couldn’t say if it was associated with the flashes. There wasn’t a sound other than traffic and rain. Living this close airport usually generates lots sounds trains close, but nothing but dead silence. Each burst was separate from each other for about 6 seconds.
Note: Light rain was falling with visibility about 6 miles at the time of the sighting. No thunderstorms were reported in the area. The multicolored appearance eliminates lighting as an explanation.
