Description: My wife and I were in our spa on an evening with high cloud when I suddenly saw a V-shaped object moving from south to north, the two tops of the V leading. It was hard to judge the speed because I couldn’t gauge it’s size or altitude, but it seemed to be moving very slowly, smoothly, and silently. My wife saw it immediately and shared my sense that it was translucent, almost like a jelly fish in consistency. We didn’t see the lights along the arms other sightings have mentioned, but there were sections that appeared to be bumps on the surface that were catching the ambient city light from below. It also seemed not to be flying “flat,” with the V horizontal, but rather rolled over about 45 degrees.

This is an outstanding report in it’s subject and detail. The kind of object they say has been seen for at least sixty years, and was extensively reported by a University of Missouri professor – Harley Rutledge – which some other witnesses and himself described as moving quite swiftly over the Missouri landscape, and they often were seen and described as “translucent.” Thanks for this great report!
