Time of Sighting: 10:20 PM CDT
Description: I opened my back door to let my dog out, I saw a red light in the sky. I opened the door so I could take a better look. It was stopped and not moving, just a red dot, maybe 5 miles away, over the west center of Wichita. It was bright, only red and not flashing. Then it started moving south towards me, and it turned down or sideways. but was slowly still moving in a straight line south. Then I could see it was a triangular shape, with red lights all the way around it maybe 4 per side. I could tell this was NOT man made. I see airplanes all the time. Wichita Airport is near by, just west of me. It was big, and moving very slow. Then it dropped down 50 or 75 feet slowly, the light turned white, a silver blazing hot white, like rockets were shot off. It then zipped out of my sight at amazing fast speeds, like a shooting star going southwest and was gone before I could take another step out by door so I could see it better. It all happened too fast to take pictures. This was NOT man made. It moved too fast. and too slow and sat still And it was big maybe 125 feet on two sides and 100 feet on the back side. It had all red lights 4 on each side evenly spaced out. I’m 62, an ex-air craft worker and ex-cop, I do not drink or smoke. I’m not a UFO hunter, but I know I just saw one.
