Description: This was on BBC news. The report was from Detroit, US. At first I thought it was part of the explosion, but after watching it a few times I’m not so sure! Could you help & give me some idea.

DETROIT – It will fall slightly to the west, and it’ll fall quickly.

Ed Saenz, spokesman for Olympia Development of Michigan, said crews are prepping the planned development site where a historic 13-story, blighted, vacant building will be imploded Saturday, July 11 at 8 a.m, just over a month after the Detroit Historic District Commission approved the demolition.

After weeks of debate, negotiations, replacements and urging from Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan’s office, the City of Detroit granted Olympia, the development arm of the Ilitch family, permission to demolish one of the two historic hotels on the 12-acre Detroit Events Center project.

The Hotel Eddystone, right next door to the doomed Park Avenue, will remain standing. Saenz said shipping containers have been placed at the Eddystone facing the Park Avenue to “protect it further.”

Charges will not be placed on the north or east lower levels of the Park Avenue hotel, either.

Note on Video: The object changes direction at mid flight. This maneuver makes it more difficult to explain.
