Time of Sighting: 9:45 PM PDT
Description: Six of us were having a campfire in the backyard when one of us pointed out the Big Dipper. We all looked up, but saw something else: We saw a whitish, transparent-looking (or vapory) boomerang-shaped object passing overhead. It seemed fairly low, perhaps not far above the trees and it moved straight at a steady pace. At first I thought it was a bird, or plane, but it did not have any obvious lights and stayed perfectly rigid. My friend said it looked like it was lit all over by many dim lights (as though it were “cloaked”). We heard the sound of an engine, but it could have been coming from elsewhere in the sky as there were planes in the area. Most of us think it was silent. I thought I saw some angular points along the back. Three of us sketched our individual impressions of it afterwards, which you can see in the photo. The time is approximate.
Thanks for the report. I also spent a day drawing the same thing after my first sighting. I saw a great number of ‘Boomerang and V’ type UFOs between 2010 and 2012 in South London, UK. All the ones I saw, singly but on one occasion four together, were deep black with lemon yellow lights spaced equally along the body. I saw one close overhead that become transparent by degrees as it went by. I tried to set up a motion sensitive CCTV to capture them, but sadly my equipment was not up to the task. Since then I have had sightings of many other kinds of objects both day and night. But the boomerangs are not flying here at the moment.
