Location of Sighting: Cherry Log, Georgia
Date of Sighting: July 30, 2015
Time of Sighting: 1 AM EDT
Description: I saw a comet-like burst. It started from the right side of the sky, shot downward towards left within 2 to 3 seconds. It was a blue-ish purple streak best described as resembling plasma material. It was close to the ground and extremely wide. It had an apparent size of about an inch between your fingers held up about 50°. It appeared to be shooting slowly toward the earth then slowed down and built up into a wider ring and shot quickly through the center similar to a sonic boom from a jet plane. There was possibly related debris. Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
