Description: I have been searching for answers for what I saw last night and came across your site! I live in Georgetown, Indiana USA. I was driving home from work around 10 PM and noticed something in the sky. (I am an airplane enthusiast, so I am ALWAYS scanning the skies.) It looked exactly like a red flare, floating above the tree line. It wasn’t a comet, or an airplane light. It was bright red, glowing ball. I lost it just as I pulled in my driveway. As soon as I got out of the car and looked in the direction it flared back up! It didn’t come up from behind the tree line. It just lit back up, like it was floating there with the flare off. I ran in the house to get my husband and it was gone by the time he made it outside. I have never seen anything like it in my life and I stayed awake until 3 AM searching for someone who had maybe saw the same thing! What was it?
